Arianna Huffington launches her latest venture, Thrive Global

Struggling to find the right gifts for that special someone on your holiday list?  Look no further.  As part of her latest business venture, Thrive Global, media mogul Arianna Huffington scoured the globe for the best technology and well-being products and services available.

The Birth of a Global Movement

With the launch of Thrive Global, Huffington is moving into the global health and wellness space. For Huffington, banishing burn-out is a personal crusade.  In 2007, a few years after co-founding the eponymous The Huffington Post, Huffington collapsed from exhaustion.  She woke lying in a pool of blood, with a broken cheek bone.  A severe gash above her eye also required several stitches.

That frightening experience led Huffington to write Thrive.  A run-away bestseller, Thrive makes an impassioned case for redefining what it means to be successful in our 24/7 world.  More recently, she wrote The Sleep Revolution, in which she explores our global sleep deprivation crisis.

So buckle up!  Any time a power house like Huffington leverages her influence to take on an issue, you know it’s going to get some traction.

With the launch of Thrive Global, Huffington provides the knowledge and tools necessary to put her life-changing ideas into practice.  If Huffington has her way, you’ll soon be less stressed, sleeping better and working smarter than ever  before!

Introducing Thrive Global

To accelerate what Huffington regards as urgently-needed cultural change, her new company, Thrive Global, consists of three mutually-reinforcing elements:

  • Corporate trainings and workshops;
  • A new media platform, The Thrive Journal, designed to spark global conversation about changing the way we work and live; and
  • An e-commerce platform, the Thrive Global Store, that offers a carefully curated selection of best-in-class, well-being products, gifts and services.

Popping-Up in SoHo

Thrive Global officially launched on November 30th at a champagne-infused gala at their new pop-up store.  Located at 419 Broome Street in SoHo, the pop-up is open for a limited time only between December 1st and January 15th, 2017.  If you’re in the area, it’s definitely worth a visit.

The Thrive Global team collaborated with their scientific and academic partners to vet literally hundreds of products.  Only a select few met their criteria of being science-based, socially-responsible and delivering results, including Lighting Science’s GoodDay™, GoodNight™ and SleepyBaby® lights.

In addition to retail, the beautiful 5,000 square foot space includes a “bedroom sanctuary” with a floating bed that makes you want to crawl right in and take a nap.  The lower level also features a virtual reality and mediation lounge, so when you’re done shopping, you can go get your zen on.  Live demonstrations and education sessions will also be held in the space through mid-January.
